Waheguru ii Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Sat Sri Akal.,

On the 2nd of May '98, a young man died in Greece. He had had a very hard life and had been involved with crime. His family did not act to support him. He suffered abuse and always had a limp as a result. Then a Sikh came into his life and showed him love. The young man came to embrace Guru ji and became Sikh. He died in a car accident at age 17.

This posting is deicated to the memory of my dear friend Yanee Singh (jr).

Life gave him so little, but he gave everyone around him so much.

I pray for you every day, mate.

The only real tribute that I can give you is this...

You opened my eyes and my heart to the glory of Sikhi.

Because of your courage and love I too have taken the Sikh path.

Yanee always said "When a man writes, we read it, but when God writes, we live it."

When asked about his life and what death might hold he said "Don't cry for me, I cannot see your tears. Pray for me and Guru ji will bear your thoughts to me."

Let us all learn from Yanee and help those in need and always act with kindness towards everyone.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Dear Loved Ones of the Gurus.

I have not been able to sleep all night after I read a line which says if someone doesn't says Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh, the person will see the back of the Guru. After I came to this homeless center many years ago this is the first time I felt so uneasy & sleepless. What wrong have I or anyone done that Guru Will not recieve us, I love God & Gurus. I could not understand this line all the night. I dont mean to offend anyone, life it self has offended me enough, I am 17 & from 5 I have been on the streets, until this sikh man cared for me & changed all my life, I use to smoke & drink but that was years ago.

Why the Guru will not see me.

I still have hope in my Gurus & don't want to read these kind of lines, which will upset me or make me the old Yanee again, without any hard feelings for any one. It is better I leave, for some of us r strong & some of us are not.

Balbir Ji, If I had said anything wrong please forgive.

If i said anything wrong to anyone, please forgive.

Thank u to someone for sending the lovely e-mail.

With my love to all of u, Guru fateh & Good bye.

Yanee singh (junior). Guru is my Father & Mother, I dont want to loose him.

Gur Fateh.

I would like to share with you all a sad news, some of you knew Yanee Singh (junior), who sometime was on cybersikh too, on Friday morning he went with 3 of his friends to a picnic of the 1st May, on the road they had a serious car accident, 1 of the 3 died on the spot, Yanee was taken to hospital, where he was in "Red Line", his situation worsen over the next hours, on late Saturday evening, Yanee breathed his last breath.

Road deaths on the long weekend claimed 35 deaths, 245 injured. One of the 35 was my dear friend, who had seen nothing but misery from the time he was 5, it is rather sad this would happen to such a cheerful young person, a very, very sad loss. I just arrived on early Saturday morning, I saw him in the hospital for few minutes, from a distance.

Yanee always said 'When a man writes, we read it but when God writes, we live it'.

My last one for Yanee.

Faridah, khako na nindi-ai
The dust, Farid, you must not slander

khako jay-dr na ko-ay
for, nothing is as great.

Jeeva-dian pair-rai(n) tal-lay
While we live, dust lies under our feet

mo-iya opar ho-ay
but when we die, it covers us all over.

You endured intolerance,
and cruel arrogance,
from those overbearing,
the power-hungry.

Like many who are different,
those straggling seekers
and the young,
yearning to be heard.

Is our self esteem
so low,
our need to dominate
so great?

Dear Cyber Sangat Ji,

WaheGuru Ji Ka Khalsa, WaheGuru ii Ki Fateh!!

"When anyone dies five of his relatives cry over them but with the holy Word is their illusion of egoism cast off and washed. By understanding and realisation find they poise, but without realisation lose they all respect. Some die, some after them wail in gasps.. Know that the Supreme Cause over all is the Power Itself. (Remember)"

"In pain people cry over the dead - they cry who feel the pain. What happens to the departed, the Lord alone knows. All happens as the Creator wills... Over the dead their friends in sincerity cry, but only those gripped by the three qualities cry too much. Let go off feelings of sorrow and joy and dress the mind with poise. Your body and mind to God's love dedicate... One dying to the self realises that death is sent by WaheGuru. Itself it makes and destroys. Creation You have made: the Light and the Essence. Without any doubt, union with Him by contemplation of the Word comes ... through Amazing Grace, drink deeply the Waters of Life."

In memory of our brother, Yanee Singh

beyond the fantasies of our mind
is the recognition that You Are All-Ways Here

love

WaheGuru Ji Ka Khalsa, WaheGuru Ji KI Fateh!!

Gur Fateh

Sat Sri Akal.,

Last month we all lost a dear friend and a fine Sikh. This time of grief and sadness brought home to me how precious and how short life is, and that you must grab it with both hands while it lasts. Because of this I have taken a step that I was hesitant to undertake. For Yanee Singh (Jr.), for my friends upon the path, and for myself, I have taken the turban and am Keshdhari.

This is a joyous time for me.

Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru ii Ki Fateh.

Dear Gurfateh ji,

Yannee Singh was adopted by a rich family when he was 4, the rich lady then got a baby of her own and threw out Yanee. Yanees father was drug addict. Yanee was taken across the country & made to beg, he was beaten, abused etc. etc., Yanee's walk proved that he had a broken leg few years ago, which was broken because he tried to run from the beggars controling mafia then he came back here in the home country.

Came to live with us, I was not here that time. Yanee was very upset mentally but still he showed a smile always. He was a loving, emotional person.

We did locate his father but he does not understand anything because is heavy on drugs.

Welcome to the path of sikhism.

Gur Fateh.

I only knew you for a while
I never saw your smile
Till it was time to go
Time to go away

Sometimes it's hard to recognise
Love comes as a surprise
Then its to late
It’s just to late to stay
To late to stay

Because the friendship that you gave
Has taught me to be brave
No matter where I go
I’ll never find a better prize

And though your miles and miles away
I see you everyday
I don’t have to try
I just close my eyes
I close my eyes

We’ll always be together
How ever far it seems
We’ll always be together
Together in electric dreams

When I die, dont cry for me, I can't hear you all.

Pray for me and I shall recieve them thru God.

- Yanee Singh
