Gurfateh Phil Singh's World
Life is an adventure to be lived! Not a question to be answered!
G'day. I've been known as Wombat for years. While teaching in India for a year, with the Rabab Revival Project, it became Desiwombat. Desi is Punjabi for "rural" or "village". It can mean someone who likes pastoral places. It can also mean someone who enjoys street food and life. I'm an Aussie of Swiss and English background. Love travelling and cooking. I'm a great armchair traveller too. I have an abiding interest in religion. Bhakti philosophy, Sikhism, Sufi teachings and Rastafarai are paths that hold special meaning for me. I consider myself part of the Sikh Faith. Although not an Amritdhari (Baptised Sikh). My schooling was at Eastwood Public School and Concord High in Sydney. Used to work in the class & computing support areas of TAFE NSW for many years. That was a great time with some wonderful friendships. Then things took a tumble and I looked after my aged and frail parents for eight years in Brisbane. They were great people and awesome friends. Taught me a lot and made me laugh. Now they're gone and I’m wandering again. Over the years of my life, I've travelled some in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the Pacific, Egypt and England. Always keep smiling. Cheers

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover."
